Jodi Kautz, LSW, MSW, EMDR, PEL Type 73, received a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, a Master of Social Work from Aurora University, and a School Social Work Professional Educators License Type 73.

Jodi believes we all have a story and our experiences and interactions with others throughout our lives shape that story. Whether the story is predominantly positive or negative, we all have the power within us to edit or rewrite it to realize our dreams and wishes. Through focusing on one’s strengths, challenging negative thought processes, and addressing trauma, Jodi enjoys partnering with clients to empower them to edit their story so they are able to move forward and achieve the life they have always envisioned for themselves.

Jodi provides a caring, understanding, and safe environment to allow clients to explore the things that are holding them back. Through a combination of the Strengths Perspective, EMDR, CBT, and DBT, you will develop new ways of thinking and find healthy coping strategies that are effective for you and your lifestyle. She is also well versed throughout the area to include alternative therapies and medical practitioners to support you on your journey to wellness.

Jodi lives in Naperville, IL with her husband and best friend of 33 years, three wonderful daughters, and three rather large fur babies. In her free time, Jodi enjoys traveling, supporting her daughters in their endeavors, attending boot camp, playing competitive tennis, and doing anything art-related. She has worked in both the clinical and school settings and brings an abundance of real-life experiences to her practice where she welcomes teens, young adults, adults, and parents.
