First Responder Services

What are First Responder Services?

We respect the stress that comes with the job. Our therapists are trained to address post-traumatic stress, anxiety, burnout, and depression, as well as other challenges you may face.

How it works

  • Schedule your evaluation

Book your diagnostic appointment online. Prior to your appointment, we will email you forms to be completed.

  • Collaborate with your therapist

Discuss your goals and expectations to develop a treatment plan with techniques that work for what you are trying to accomplish.

  • Discuss treatment frequency

We are available one or more times a week depending on your specific needs. Our therapists are excellent at building rapport and making sure you feel supported, understood, and cared for.

How we can help

  • Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)

Involves mindfulness, emotional regulation, and distressed tolerance. You will learn effective coping skills to manage uncomfortable feelings and situations.

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

This is used to examine your thoughts and beliefs, notice distorted thinking patterns, challenge them, and reframe with a new plan.

  • Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR)

EMDR helps you recall earlier perceived events and links them to current beliefs and behaviors. Twenty minutes of EMDR is equivalent to five hours of talk therapy.

“Don’t let there be a stigma about therapy for first responders. We all have trauma to work through.”

– Bob, Ivy Lane Patient
